From 1 Jul 2026 passport holders of Cyprus, Finland, Germany and South Korea may apply for 417 (ages 18–35); Uruguay added to Work and Holiday (462) with up to 1,500 places per programme yearAustralia's Department of Home Affairs has expanded the Working Holiday (subclass 417) programme. From 1 July 2026, passport holders of Cyprus, Finland, Germany and the Republic of Korea may apply (ages 18–35). Separately, Uruguay was added to the Work and Holiday (subclass 462) stream with up to 1,500 first visas per programme year, and from 3 June 2026 Luxembourg nationals no longer need a Letter of Support for 462.
