  • Scanned bio-data page of passport (PDF format, 10KB-300KB, all four corners visible)

Fees & processing

Visa feeUS$25 — e-Visa

From official-portal extracts (captured ):

  • The e-Visa costs USD 25.
  • No authorised agent or intermediary may charge you a fee for an emergency visa, express visa, eVisa or the eArrival card, so pay only through the official portal. [1] [2]

How to apply

  1. Fill in and submit the visa application online yourself on the official government website indianvisaonline.gov.in. [1] [2]
  2. Apply through the portal only: the Government of India does not authorise any agent or intermediary to charge fees for emergency or express visas, eVisas or the eArrival card. [1] [2]
  3. After approval, download and print your e-Visa approval letter (ETA) so you can show it, printed or on your phone, at immigration.
  4. Submit the eArrival Card online within 72 hours before your arrival in India, using boi.gov.in, indianvisaonline.gov.in or the official 'Indian Visa Su-Swagatam' mobile app. [5]
  5. Complete the Self-Declaration Form at airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in before you reach the arrival immigration counters. [1]

Before you fly

  • Every foreign national entering India needs a valid national passport together with a regular visa or eVisa, unless a bilateral arrangement exempts them. [1] [2]
  • Foreign nationals and OCI cardholders must complete and submit the eArrival Card; it is arrival information only and is not a visa. [1] [5]
  • Visa on arrival at selected airports is available only to nationals of Japan, South Korea and certain UAE nationals, so it is not an option for Namibian passport holders. [2]
  • All passengers must fill the Self-Declaration Form before reaching the arrival immigration counters. [1]

Watch out for

Do not pay anyone for an express or emergency eVisa: the Government of India does not authorise agents or intermediaries for these or for the eArrival card. [1] [2]
There is no visa on arrival for Namibian passport holders, so obtain your eVisa before you travel. [2]
The eArrival Card must be submitted within 72 hours before arrival, and submitting it does not replace a visa. [5]
