United Arab Emirates Visa Requirements for Pakistani Citizens (2026)

Pakistani travellers need an online travel authorization before flying to United Arab Emirates. Maximum stay: 14 days. Every number on this page carries the date we last verified it.

Required documents

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months with at least 1 blank visa page
  • Recent passport-size photograph (white background, front view)
  • eVisa approval letter (printed or digital copy) for immigration
  • Proof of travel itinerary including flight details and accommodation
  • Return or onward ticket from destination
  • Proof of sufficient funds for stay

Fees & processing

Fee details are queued for government-source verification. The official portal has current pricing.

From official-portal extracts (captured ):

  • The visa fee depends on the visa type and duration; a 14-day visa costs roughly AED 100, so it is not free.
  • Visa charges for each visa type are stated on the individual service cards on the ICP and GDRFA-Dubai websites. [2]
  • Overstaying your visa or residence permit attracts a fine, which you can check and pay through ICP or GDRFA Dubai services. [2]

How to apply

  1. Apply for a UAE tourist visa before you travel; Pakistani passport holders need a visa and the official portal is smartservices.icp.gov.ae.
  2. If you hold a booking with Emirates, Air Arabia or Flydubai, you can obtain an e-Visa online.
  3. Check the exact visa charge on the relevant ICP or GDRFA Dubai service card before you pay. [2]
  4. Carry a printed or digital copy of your eVisa approval letter and show it to immigration on arrival.

Before you fly

  • A 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa is open to all nationalities, allows 90 days per visit and can be extended by another 90 days. [4]
  • The UAE issues 48-hour and 96-hour single-entry transit visas sponsored by the airline you fly with; they cannot be extended. [1]
  • Visa fees and overstay fines are published on the ICP and GDRFA Dubai websites. [2]

Conditions & fine print

  • e-Visa can be obtained online if holding a booking from Emirates, Air Arabia or Flydubai tickets.
  • Nationals of Pakistan holding a diplomatic or an official passport do not need a visa to visit the UAE for a duration of 90 days within a 180-day period.
  • Transit visa is not required when transferring from a UAE-based airport if the passenger does not exit the transit area.

Watch out for

The airline e-Visa option only applies if you hold a booking with Emirates, Air Arabia or Flydubai.
The 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa requires a bank balance of USD 4,000 over the last six months and UAE-valid health insurance for 180 days. [4]
Overstaying leads to a fine, so settle it with ICP or GDRFA Dubai before you leave. [2]
