Singapore Visa Requirements for Vietnamese Citizens (2026)

No — Vietnamese citizens can enter Singapore without a visa. Maximum stay: 30 days. Every number on this page carries the date we last verified it.

Required documents

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival in Singapore. [3]
  • Return or onward ticket from Singapore.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for your stay.
  • SG Arrival Card submitted online within 3 days before arrival.

Fees & processing

Fee details are queued for government-source verification. The official portal has current pricing.

From official-portal extracts (captured ):

  • There is no visa fee: entry is visa-free for up to 30 days under ASEAN arrangements.
  • If ICA grants an extension of your short-term visit pass that takes your total stay to 90 days or more from the date of entry, an extension fee of S$40 applies, and again for every further 90-day block. [23]

How to apply

  1. No visa application is needed: Vietnamese ordinary passport holders enter Singapore visa-free for stays of up to 30 days.
  2. Submit your SG Arrival Card through ICA's official e-service or mobile app within 3 days before you arrive. [20]
  3. On arrival, show your passport at immigration clearance; your electronic arrival card is already lodged with ICA. [13]

Before you fly

  • You must declare to the authorities if you arrive carrying cash and bearer negotiable instruments worth more than S$20,000, or the equivalent in a foreign currency. [3]
  • If you have been in a country with yellow fever transmission risk in the six days before arrival, you must produce a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate to the ICA officer at the checkpoint. [3]

Watch out for

Fake SG Arrival Card websites ask for personal details and a US$30 payment; the official ICA e-service is free, so use only ICA's website or its free mobile app. [20]
Overstaying your visa-free stay is treated seriously: overstayers are deported and barred from re-entering Singapore. [10]
Do not take up work during a visa-free short visit; ICA prosecutes those who employ or are employed without a valid pass. [10]
