Japan Visa Requirements for Chinese Citizens (2026)

Specifically for Chinese passport holders

  The eVisa fee varies by nationality; a single-entry tourist eVisa typically costs JPY 3,000 and is applied for through the JAPAN eVISA portal.

  Fees are normally paid in cash in local currency, but online credit-card payment is available for eVISA applications through the JAPAN eVISA website in certain countries and regions. [6]

  For applications accepted at overseas diplomatic missions from 1 July 2026, the fee is about JPY 15,000 for a single-entry visa and about JPY 30,000 for a multiple-entry visa. [9]
