  • A return or onward ticket.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for your stay.
  • An SG Arrival Card submitted online within 3 days before arrival.

From official-portal extracts (captured ):

  • No visa fee is payable: as a visa-free visitor your visa cost is SGD 0.
  • If you apply to extend your short-term visit pass, a S$40 extension fee applies once the extension brings your total stay to 90 days or more from your date of entry, and again for each further 90-day block. [22]

How to apply

  1. No visa application is needed: Japanese ordinary passport holders enter Singapore visa-free for short tourist visits of up to 30 days.
  2. Before you fly, submit your SG Arrival Card through ICA's official e-service at https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard or via the free SG Arrival Card mobile app. [12] [19]
  3. On arrival, present your passport for immigration clearance; ICA's system will already hold your electronic arrival card. [12]

Before you fly

  • You must declare your cash and bearer negotiable instruments if you arrive carrying more than S$20,000 in total, or the equivalent in foreign currency. [2]
  • If you have been in a country with yellow fever transmission risk in the 6 days before arrival, you must show a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate to the ICA officer. [2]
